Looking back on my notes from the initial Lincoln Center runway showcase (video here) of the designers for this season’s Project Runway, Christian and Jillian were my favorites. After seeing their final runway shows at Bryant Park, I am still unsure as to which of these two will win tonight. I must admit this season has hardly held my attention -likely because of these two designers really standing out from minute one. As I’ve said before, it really doesn’t matter who wins or not as I tend to hear more about those who did not win from past seasons. On the first official night of NY fashion week (a.k.a. the second night to those of us who recognize the day before fashion week as the best one), I met Christian and most of the contestants from this season (remaining and auf’d) at Victorya’s (hideously boring) fashion show. I approached him with “excuse me, may I say hello to the next Alexander McQueen?” knowing he’d lap that sh*t right up. He is FIERCE! extremely talented and I say the same thing about him that I say about the French -they think they are the best because they kind of are (I’m not French so I can say that). I also applaud him for speaking out against Ricky’s incomprehensible presence. My top 3 contestants on Fafarazzi (yup, I’m a super-dork!) were Jillian, Christian & Ricky -Ricky only because you score points when they cry and I knew I could count on him for the waterworks each week. I had to switch him out because he clearly was going to be eliminated any second. As for Christian, he’s definitely going places no matter what happens tonight. And Jillian, well, her day job is likely in serious jeopardy after that little statement about being tired of contributing to other peoples’ dreams. I heard from a little bird (Santino Rice -from Season 2) that Jillian takes many socially-acceptable pills (GASP!). Yeah right -how much more obvious could her monotone, unemotional self express how much Prozac is teeming through her bloodstream? I know, nothing new in the fashion industry. Again, it matters little considering her designs are amazing. I admit getting nervous that week she was crying at the sewing machine saying she was bleeding “everywhere” and I saw no blood. I thought ‘oooh, plot twist she’s going to crack up’ -you know those camera guys were trying to slip Tylenol in her Prozac bottles to instigate. All that aside, Christian and Jillian are fully supported and wished the best from The Army of M.E. no matter what tonight’s outcome. (Photo note: The Army of M.E. tries to maintain anonymity but the real reason for the star over my face is because of the rainy day & night it was -I was not at my best).

Update:: Project Runway Season 4 Winner Christian Siriano! Congrats Mr. Fierceness McQueen! As I whispered in your ear a few weeks ago -you are undoubtedly the winner. So glad the judges agreed! We’ll see you upon return from your VayKay -caio! Christian + Posh = SO MAJOR
