To be exact, it will be at 413 West 14th Street and will be open for public consumption early in 2009. It will be Williamson’s first US flagship and we will no longer have to stalk retailers impatiently for new lines that disappear quicker than we can swipe our credit cards! The 11-year-old label opened its first boutique in 2004 on London’s Bruton Street and Mr. Williamson told Vogue UK he is “very excited to be opening my own store in New York…and making the store a reality over the coming months.” He’s not nearly as excited as us New Yorkers!
The Army of M.E. is all over the top design schools of the world on rekon missions for the next big talent. Obviously, of the top three schools on our stalking list is London’s Central Saint Martins. Tonight is CSM’s MA Fine Art Auction featuring works from staff and students as well as Mona Hatoum, Stella Vine, Sam Taylor Wood and Steven Farthing. Place your bids on the renowned artists or those of tomorrow from 5:30p-9p tonight. Click HERE for more info and programme. (Pictured is ‘Bala’ by Joel Chernin). There’s just no denying the power of the Topshop -its a high street fashion force that is undeniable. If I had a penny for every amateur blogger photo online of the billboard where the shop will open in Soho, NYC this fall…well, I’d have about a dollar. This September the coveted shop will offer premium denim to its patrons including brands like MOTO and exclusives from LA-based Ditto, Joe’s Jeans, My Lovely and Radcliffe. There will also be limited edition collections for Topshop only by Sass & Bide, J Brand and also Ditto’s. Photo of Sass & Bide for Topshop courtesy of Vogue UK.
