Artist Kaws has reworked Marc Jacobs’ mouse flats on their 10 year anniversary. They are, of course, limited edition with only 150 pairs worldwide. You can find them exclusively at colette in Paris, OriginalFake in Tokyo and Marc Jacobs stores in London & the states. Today is the first day they are available.
Speaking of Vena Cava’s Spring Summer 2009 runway show, as we were anticipating, they collaborated with Via Spiga for the shoes for this “Egyptomania” show, covered in the previous post. The capsule collection will retail for $300-$850 exclusively at Via Spiga’s new Soho flagship opening in October and online (although we don’t know when but just investigated and they’re not available yet). Here are some detail shots of the shoes from the show (sorry they’re so small):
Oak Manhattan is celebrating its first fall season in Manhattan, on Bond St., with the offering of an exlusive collection available beginning today. They requested a bevy of designers to create pieces inspired by the theme of “bondage” -kinky. The concept was interpreted by Filippa K, Obesity and Speed, Hood by Air, Complex Geometries and all the others listed on the flier. Although you are back and forth to fashion shows you must make an effort -the looks are only available online and at the Bond St. store Sept. 8-11th.
This is all we have so far courtesy of a Nitro:licious reader. We are looking forward to seeing more which should trickle onto the web any moment now. This next Go International collection is slated to hit Target stores in October but select items will be available at the Bullseye Bodegas coming to NYC during fashion week we previously told you all about.
On sale today are some amazing t-shirts to benefit the people of burundi. I’ve always loved her mom Isabella, but it seems Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann is positioning herself to be the next Angelina Jolie -perhaps far surpassing saint Jolie. Elettra is not only gorgeous and has all the right friends, but she is electrifyingly charged about helping the world and those less fortunate. Aside from her Biomedicine studies soon to commence at the London School of Economics, Elettra found time to commission some of her friends to assist in another cause hailing from Africa. Upon learning that once the sun went down, the lights went out in the hospitals of burundi -leaving operations and births to be performed by head lights- Elettra was told it would take only a half a million dollars to change all that. The result is a collection of t-shirts by Chris Benz, Phillip Lim, Rag & Bone, Rogan, Giambattista Valli and House of Diehl. There are limited edition with only 100 of each and all the proceeds go to this charity. Please click HERE to learn more and purchase a tee (they are all really nice). The Army of M.E. adores these collaborations!
